I just love making Christmas quilts and Christmas projects. Just being able to think of cooler weather helped me get through the hot August day here in South Carolina.
So here we go.........
Christmas Star 2012
I used fabric that I had in my stash to do the Christmas Star. It is one of the first projects that I have designed on my EQ7 software. The block finishes at 12-inches. I originally designed this block to be a single 12 inch block. Then after playing with the design I decided to make four 6-inch blocks (finished) and combine them to make another design.
Thanks to Lesley and Madame Sam for having me participate in the Think Christmas Blog Hop. I have enjoyed the hopping!!

Wow! Your little block is complicated. Thanks for breaking it down for us. I saw your post about your ring. I hope you got it fixed. Before I was married, many years ago, I wore a ring that was my grandmother's and had a stone that was set in a similar way to yours. I don't know if I'm a klutz, but I kept knocking it against everything, so I decided when I got married that I just wanted a band. So I found a decorative band and I've never had problems since.
Every time the weather comes on the news, I pay attention to all the places who are experiencing extreme weather this summer as out here in CA it's been pretty mild. We are thinking of you and how difficult it must be to carry on a normal life under unusual conditions.

Your block is lovely with lots of piecing! Great job!! I read some of your other posts and I laughed about the man cave. My husband's name is Roger also and we are in the process of upgrading what we call his *man cave* since he has recently reetired. His man cave is in the large barn building on our small farm.
